Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") set out the conditions for using The Barrel Designer ("the Service") provided by SATUMOTO ("we"). By using the Service, you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.

1. Scope

These Terms apply to all relationships between the user and us relating to the use of the Service.

2. Definitions

"Design Data" means the shape and design information you create in the Service. "Output Data" means the drawings, dimensions, and manufacturing data (such as NC data) generated by the Service.

3. Account

Registration is complete when you apply in the prescribed manner after agreeing to these Terms and we approve it. You are responsible for managing your account information.

4. Fees and Payment

The fees, payment methods, renewal, and cancellation terms for paid plans are as set out on the pricing page and in the Commercial Transactions Act notice.

5. Rights in Design Data

All rights in the Design Data you create in the Service belong to you. We do not use your Design Data beyond what is necessary to provide the Service, and we do not repurpose it for machine learning or disclose, provide, or sell it to third parties.

6. Protection of and Access to Design Data

We do not view the contents of your Design Data. Design Data is stored separately for each client (user or organisation) and safeguarded; we cannot see its contents in normal operation, and it is never disclosed to other users. We review the contents of Design Data only when we need to respond to a request from you, such as investigating or fixing a bug; even then, we review only the data you have explicitly provided for that purpose, and only to the extent necessary. We end such handling promptly once the purpose is achieved. Design Data is also encrypted at rest.

7. Verification of Output Data; Manufacturing Disclaimer

The drawings, dimensions, and manufacturing data generated by the Service are automatically generated references, and we do not warrant their accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. You and the manufacturer are responsible for sufficiently verifying the contents, including dimension lines, before using them for actual machining. The feasibility of machining, materials, finish, and legal compliance are the responsibility of the manufacturer (factory) and the user; we do not warrant or compensate for machining results, material loss, delivery times, or anything else.

8. Prohibited Acts

You must not violate laws, infringe the rights of others, interfere with the operation of the Service, reverse-engineer the Service, or engage in other acts we deem inappropriate.

9. Limitation of Liability

We provide the Service "as is." Except in cases of our willful misconduct or gross negligence, our total liability to you in connection with the Service is limited to the total fees you paid us in the three months prior to the month in which the damage arose. We are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, loss or corruption of data, machining failures, material costs, or other incidental or consequential damages.

10. Changes, Suspension, and Termination

We may change the contents of the Service, or suspend or terminate the Service, with reasonable notice to users.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. However, where you are a consumer, mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence may apply. Jurisdiction for dispute resolution is as separately determined.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may change these Terms as necessary, and the revised Terms take effect when displayed on the Service.
