Parametric design engine

Profile from anchors and fillets, grooves from tool sections. Changes propagate instantly to weight, CoG, length and max diameter; dimensions derive consistently from coordinates.

Dimension = machining result

Dimensions mark the machined edge, and the tool's overrun is accounted for automatically. Place grooves side by side and their positions never break.

Tooling & setup derivation

Blade width (largest ≤ bottom), nose R, hand and plunge count into a setup sheet; holder stance from real approach angles. Brand stays the factory's.

DFM checks

Wall at thread valley φ4.7, regulation diameter (polygons judged at the corner), tool relief (⌀6 mill overrun) — caught while designing, red before you order.

Multiple designers & approvals

Separate seats; approval / manufacturing requests / send-backs / comments as a workflow. My-grooves copy independently into each design as templates.

Factory orders & trace codes

Each drawing carries an immutable shape snapshot and trace serial (BD-XXXX). Fully restore the ordered shape later; prevent mismatches.

Why it's order-ready as-is

Paper is the shop-floor UI. Quality is: the reader never has to guess. So dimensions follow JIS — even the unspecified. Text never overlaps on any page, and dimensions are re-checked against the geometry after drawing; only those that pass go on the sheet.

3D that matches the cut

Not a fake surface effect — a real solid, actually cut on the lathe and 3-axis mill. The silhouette and the cross-section are the finished part itself.

No dependence on a C-axis

So partners without a C-axis can still cut it: helix twist dropped for a mid-rotated slanted slot. The shop's constraint, taken on by the design side.

Verify after drawing

After drawing the dimensions, we re-check that each number truly points at its element; only passing sheets keep an invisible verified mark.

Design & output spec

  • JIS dimensions, toolpath coordinate lists, section/end views, datum marks (lathe ZX / 3-axis XYZ)
  • Ring / shark / spiral / axial (ball, V90) / dots / polygon sections / swept bottoms
  • Real-cut 3D for lathe threading & 3-axis milling; wall/CoG check in section
  • Vector PDF drawings, order numbers, trace serials

Cheaper than one botched order

Back-and-forth inquiries, re-work from misreads, order mismatches. If drawings are order-ready from the start, one avoided case pays for it.
